SPORTS COMMITTEE

The Sports Committee of ZSCT’s Thakur Shyamnaryan Degree College has performed many events and activities related to sports & has many objectives and roles to perform which are given below.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SPORTS COMMITTEE

  1. The college provides sports and games activities for students both indoor and outdoor.
  2. Students are encouraged to participate in institutional sports events.
  3. The winners at the college will be awarded and considered for participation at inter college and inter university level.
  4. To organize training, Coaching and education in sports for everybody so that they can learn to keep themselves physically fit.

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SPORTS COMMITTEE

  1. To prepare a sports calendar and an action plan to implement the same.
  2. To create zeal amongst students and faculty members towards sports.
  3. To organize training, coaching and education in sports for everybody so that they can learn to keep themselves physically fit.
  4. To achieve the goals we plan to organize various competitions in the following sports: cricket, football, volleyball, ball badminton, throw ball, shuttle badminton, kabaddi, kho-kho, carom, chess and table tennis etc.
  5. To make sure smooth conduct of sports events within the college.
  6. To maintain record of sports and games events attended by students within the college, university and outside of the region/state.
  7. Proper maintenance of sports accessories at Gymkhana.
  8. To provide necessary infrastructure for the sports
  9. To take up the responsibility of preparing the budget estimate, requirement of infrastructure equipment, maintaining the equipment.
  10. Selection of teams to represent the college in inter-collegiate tournaments and also the intramural tournaments.
  11. To prepare the details of attendance exemption to be given to the students representing college in various sports and games
